My journey into the world of sleep consulting began four years ago when I was pregnant with my first son. Like many soon-to-be parents, I was apprehensive about the infamous sleep deprivation that everyone talks about. Determined to be prepared, I immersed myself in research on baby sleep, eager to learn everything I could to ensure restful nights for my family.

However, despite all my preparation, I faced the same sleep struggles that many new parents do. The sleepless nights, the endless rocking, and the overwhelming exhaustion took a toll on me and my family. I remember the frustration and the sense of helplessness that came with trying to soothe a crying baby at 3 AM. It was through these challenging experiences that my initial curiosity turned into a true passion for understanding and solving baby sleep issues.

What types of families and ages do you work with?

We work with expectant parents, newborns (0-4 months) and children (5 months up to ~6 years) who are experiencing sleep challenges. Whether you’re preparing for your baby’s arrival, shaping early sleep rhythms, or navigating naps, wakings or transitions, we’re here to support your whole family.

What does “gentle sleep coaching” mean at Nurtured Sleepers?

“Gentle” means we prioritise connection, respect your parenting values, and use evidence-based sleep strategies that support your child’s development—not rigid routines or harsh methods. You will be supported every step of the way in a way that feels safe, compassionate and aligned with your family’s rhythm.

At what age should I reach out for help?

You can reach out anytime you feel sleep is disrupting your family’s well-being—frequent night wakings, inconsistent naps, bedtime battles, or simply feeling exhausted. For babies under ~5 months we focus on sleep shaping (foundation building); for 5 months and older we offer coaching that targets underlying sleep habit patterns.

We’re breastfeeding, room-sharing or baby-wearing — is that okay?

Absolutely. Your feeding, sleep surface and parenting choices matter. Our plans are crafted to honour your preferences, family values and unique situation. We work with you and your child—not imposing a “one-size-fits-all” model.

How soon will we see results?

Every family is different. Some begin to notice improved nap length, fewer night wakings, or calmer bedtimes within a week; for others it takes a few weeks of consistent implementation. What matters is steady progress, not perfection, and we’re there to guide, adjust and cheer you on.

What happens if life gets disrupted—illness, travel, developmental leaps?

Life is dynamic and sleep plans are built to be flexible. When disruptions occur—like illness, travel, growth spurts or transitions—we support you in adjusting the plan rather than starting from scratch. The goal is resilience: your family’s sleep rhythm can adapt and recover.

Will I have to ignore my child’s cries or leave them alone to ‘cry it out’?

No. Our approach explicitly respects your child’s emotional needs and attachment. We aim to minimise crying, and though change may involve some protest (as children adapt to new patterns), you will not be asked to disregard your child’s cues or abandon the bond you share.

What does a coaching package include?

Coaching packages vary depending on the age/stage and your goals. Common elements include: an intake/sleep‐history assessment, a 90‐minute consultation to design a custom plan, a written sleep strategy tailored to your family, follow-up support calls or check-ins, and email or messaging support during implementation.
